Concerning Strange Devices from the Distant West
The play describes a practice in which two lovers each have part of a tattoo which merge during sex into a complete image. For this poster, I shot my models in various poses and then applied the tattoos afterward. The dragon came from an antique image that my intern and I cleaned up; I created the storm in Illustrator and shaded it in Photoshop.
Fun fact My intern’s work on the tattoo earned her the nickname “Dragonslayer.”
